Embracing Generosity

Embracing Generosity

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:7

At Sower Church, we believe that as Christians, we should strive to be the most generous, as Christ has been to us – whether with money (to support our community or missionaries), with our time (to serve those around us), and with our treasure (to share what God has given us)

Acts 20:35 says, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Our God is generous so we should strive to live a generous lifestyle. We genuinely give our time, our effort, our money, because Jesus has restored our broken lives!

It brings us joy to have a safe, loving church family where people can experience the raw, real love of Jesus. Let’s face it, God doesn’t need a thing from us. Instead, He wants to give us something: changed lives by giving and trusting Him.

We understand it can be hard, especially in the culture we live in. Most people want the latest and greatest. You can’t play the game without the money. But God says to be wise with your money. It’s a tool. It can be used for something greater than us, for making a tangible impact for His Kingdom.

CAMPAIGN UPDATE

We are over 50% of the way to our total pledge goal of $400,000!  Thank you to all of our leaders who have lead the way in sacrificially pledging towards our campaign

All 62 of our leaders, combined, have pledged a total amount of $247,520. Everything pledged beyond our $400,000 goal will go towards paying off the church building loan. Praise God for the work he is already doing in our church.

Prayer Requests

  • For all of our members to prayerfully consider a pledge amount and commit to a pledge by May 5th
  • For the continuing conversations with contractors as we start to roll out the first steps of our strategic plan
