Love Fuels Generosity

John 3:16 is perhaps the most well-known verse in the Bible. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 If we wish to be generous, we must know this verse intimately. It reminds us that God did not ask anything of us that He has not first done for us. God is the most generous giver. Love motivated the Father…

Why We Give

Generosity is an important core value of our church. It’s one of the many ways we get to express our love and gratitude for Christ saving us. In fact, regularly giving is a mark of a growing faith relationship with Jesus and a commitment to embrace His mission. Generously engaging in God’s mission has allowed us to witness the Holy Spirit draw more people to Christ, heal broken lives and restore family relationships here in Lincoln and other parts of…

Embracing Generosity

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7 At Sower Church, we believe that as Christians, we should strive to be the most generous, as Christ has been to us – whether with money (to support our community or missionaries), with our time (to serve those around us), and with our treasure (to share what God has given us).  Acts 20:35 says, “It is more blessed to…

He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments. Psalm 78:5-7 How are we, as Sower Church, building a firm foundation for future generations? Our Vision For five…

Good Friday @ Sower

For the first time at Sower, we will gather on Good Friday to worship and read through scripture as we celebrate the work that Christ did on the cross for all of us. We hope you can join us on Friday, March 29 at 6pm. The events of Good Friday were horrible, yet necessary, as Jesus became the ultimate atonement for our sins, to reconcile us to God once and for all. He was arrested, stood trial, was sentenced to…
